What is Personal Information and why do we collect it?

Personal Information is information or an opinion that identifies an individual. Examples of Personal Information we collect includes names, addresses, email addresses, phone and facsimile numbers. The Coptic Orthodox Diocese of Melbourne – St. Mary’s Coptic Orthodox Church only collects personal information that you voluntarily submit through our Web sites, our applications like “St Mary Church Booking”, “Sunday School Assistant” or any other mobile applications developed by the church on iOS & Android platforms. This may include information such as your name, street and e-mail addresses, telephone number, and church information. We do not automatically collect personal information without your knowledge. The information provided is used solely for the purposes of the churches services provided to all the church congregation. You may request to disable or delete your account information from the application itself or if help is required, please contact the church administrator.

Sensitive information is defined in the Privacy Act to include information or opinion about such things as an individual's racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union or other professional body, criminal record or health information.
